Grazulis averaging double-double for Colorado School of Mines

Allie Grazulis basketballAfter a slow start, Palmer’s Allie Grazulis of Colorado School of Mines is back to dominating the backboards.

The 5-foot-11 senior forward has grabbed double-figure rebounds in 11 of her last 17 games, catapulting the Alaskan to No. 3 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference at 10.1 per game.

Last year she led the league at 10.3 per game.

Grazulis, of Colony High fame, hauled in 14 rebounds to along with 14 points in a 46-44 loss last night against Metro State.

It was her seventh double-double of the season; last year she had eight.

Grazulis has twice had 15 rebounds and twice had 14 rebounds during her double-digit run. Her career high is 20.

She is averaging 11.4 points. The last three seasons she’s seen her scoring go from 6.9 to 10.5 to 11.4.
