Never mind Sochi, look at what Patterson is doing at UVM
Scott Patterson of Anchorage is making the Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association look like child’s play.
The University of Vermont senior has won both EISA skate races this season and is one classic victory from a perfect score in NCAA Championship qualification.
He returned from Italy, where he competed in the U23 World Championships, just in time for the 103rd annual Dartmouth Winter Carnival in New Hampshire.
He struck gold twice in two days, winning the 10K freestyle in 24:54 and the 20K classic in 55:21 for his second and third victories of the season.
Patterson, of South High fame, has now bagged 13 career wins at UVM as well as a pair of NCAA All-American honors in 2011 and 2013.
These wins this weekend were extra special because he beat a fabulous field that included the best American skiers not at the Sochi Olympics.
