Cohen keys Whitman’s first winning season since 1982
It was a milestone victory as Whitman secured its first winning record since 1982, moving to 20-18 on the season.
Cohen smacked a two-run homer in the third inning to give the NCAA D3 Missionaries a 4-1 lead. He finished 2-for-4. On the mound, he scattered six hits and three runs and mustered no decision.
The senior slugger led the Northwest Conference with 45 RBIs and 16 doubles in 39 games. He also ranked second in hits , seventh in home runs  and 10th in batting average [.346].
He had more walks  than strikeouts  and scored 28 times.
He pitched in 11 games, going 3-4 with a 3.41 ERA. He had eight starts and ranked 19th in the NWC with 58 innings.
His 7.5 K/G ratio was eighth-best in the conference.
