Kodiak’s Trevor Dunbar joined an exclusive club reserved for elite runners from the University of Oregon.

The former Alaska state champion shaved four seconds off his PR in the 5,000 meters after posting 13:32.38 in a second-place finish at the annual Mt. SAC Relays in California.

Dunbar’s time moved him to ninth on Oregon’s all-time 5,000 times, joining a top 10 that includes Hall of Famers Steve Prefontaine and Alberto Salazar.
