Late goal spoils Faber’s clean sheet in goal for Northeastern

Dylan Faber SoccerAnchorage’s Dylan Faber was having his best day in goal until a late goal messed up everything.

The Northeastern University goalkeeper matched his career high with six saves in a 1-0 loss to Old Dominion during NCAA D1 men’s play in Virginia.

It was his first start in four matches this season.

Faber, of West High fame, started 17 games last season and finished second in the Colonial Athletic Association in shutouts [6] and third in save percentage [.779].

The junior made a strong save early in the second half before Old Dominion beat the Alaskan in the 77th minute.
