Horn celebrates start of basketball season in Germany

Alysa Horn BasketballIt may not feel like basketball season quite yet, but the season started in Germany and Alysa Horn of Kodiak celebrated with a big game.

The second-year pro bagged a career-high 27 points to lead her new German team Osnabruck to a 64-32 victory over Opladen in second division Bundesliga play.

The 6-foot forward sank 10-of-15 field goals, including a 3-pointer. She also made 6-of-7 free throws.

Horn, of UAA fame, added five rebounds and three steals.

She played her rookie season with Viernheim and led the team with averages of 19 points and 8.5 points to go along with 2.1 steals and 2.0 assists in 22 games.
