Pendleton sets up game winner for Northern State

Bobbye Pendleton SoccerNormally just a reliable defender, Anchorage’s Bobbye Pendleton showed off her offensive side for the Northern State women’s soccer team.

The sophomore defender assisted on the game-wining goal in a 2-1 victory over Wayne State in NCAA D2 action in South Dakota.

Pendleton, of Dimond High fame, started the winning play in the 50th minute. It was her second assist on the season.

She has logged 90 minutes in six of the seven games.

The win pushed Northern State to 2-2 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.
