Some guys will do anything to play.
Cordova’s Cody McKenzie will even give blood.
The former UFC fighter reportedly drew a pint of blood to help cut 1.4 pounds to make weight the 171-pound requirement for this weekend’s Battlegrounds one-night, single-elimination tournament in Oklahoma.
McKenzie originally weighed in at 172.4 pounds and was given two hours to make weight.
The Alaskan has won 15 of 19 professional mixed-martial arts fights and will face UFC veteran Brock Larson [37-8] in the first round.
