Naylor bags goal, assist in Concordia victory

Zac Naylor SoccerAnchorage’s Zak Naylor converted his first three-point game in his young career with the Concordia University men’s soccer team.

The junior transfer scored a goal and assisted on the game winner in a 3-1 victory over Northwest Christian University in Oregon.

He scored in the 12th minute after corralling a deflection and beating the keeper with a low shot to the left corner.

“I got it on the outside on the 18 and it bounced off the defender and he didn’t clear it so I just stayed with it and finished it,” Naylor told the school’s website.

In the 23rd minute, Concordia made it 2-0 on Naylor’s assist.

Naylor, of South High fame, has netted two goals in his last four games, giving him 20 for his college career after scoring 18 in two years with Edmonds Community College.
