Bowman picks off Seahawks, now has 12 in NFL career

Zack Bowman FootballNew York Giants cornerback Zack Bowman of Anchorage added another victim to his list, picking off Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson.

It came in the first quarter of Seattle’s 38-17 win.

Bowman, of Bartlett High fame, has two interceptions in his first season with the Giants.

The 29-year-old played his first six seasons with the Chicago Bears.

Bowman now has 12 interceptions in 82 career games.

The record for most interceptions in the NFL by a player from Alaska is held by Reggie Tongue, who had 15 picks – plus two more in the playoffs – from 1996 to 2005.
