colter_lasher_basketballHis numbers have improved across the board – scoring, rebounding, shooting percentage, double-figure games.

So much so you could argue Houston Baptist University men’s basketball player Colter Lasher of Anchorage is a candidate for the Southland Conference’s Most Improved Award.

The 6-foot-7 forward has made the most of his opportunity to play this season, starting all 10 games and bagging double figures seven times. Last year he had seven in 26 games.

Lasher, of Dimond High fame, led Houston Baptist with 15 points on 5-of-10 shooting in a 98-47 rout of Ecclesia during NCAA D1 action in Texas.

He is now averaging 11.1 points – good enough for No. 18 in the conference. Last year he averaged 5.7 points.

Lasher has done it on .489 percent shooting, which is among the conference leaders. He is averaging 3.5 rebounds.
