February 22, 2015
Just a sophomore, Adam Klie of Anchorage is already the best player for the University of California San Diego men’s basketball team.
His stats don’t lie.
Klie leads the team in scoring average [12.2], rebounds [122], steals [28], free-throw attempts [110] and field-goal percentage [.591].
The 6-foot-4 guard pumped in 20 points on 8-of-11 shooting to match his season high in a 72-58 win over CS Dominguez Hills.
Klie, of Service High fame, ranks third in the California Collegiate Athletic Association in field-goal percentage and has 554 career points in just two seasons.
UCSD is tied for third in the CCAA at 13-7 with two games left in the regular season.
