Bookert converts rare 4-point play, scores 18 for FSU
The 6-foot-3 guard made 6-of-7 field goals for a season-high .857 shooting percentage on his way to scoring 18 points. That’s his third-highest point total in 21 games this season.
He was 4-of-5 from 3-point range and ranks eighth in the ACC with a .517 long-range shooting clip.
Bookert, of West High fame, was so good he converted a rare 4-point play after he drained a 3-pointer while being fouled and then sank the free throw.
Twice he had a steal and fastbreak layup, showing off his all-around game.
Bookert is averaging 10.6 points with a season high 23 against Duke and 22 against South Florida. He’s also had 7 or more rebounds four times and 5 or more assists five times.
