Cole dominates under the basket for Southwestern Oregon
She stands 5-foot-11, but to opposing shooters Aminata Cole of Anchorage must seem seven feet tall.
The Southwestern Oregon College sophomore center leads the Northwest Athletic Conference in blocked shots after swatting a career-high 8 shots against Chemeketa.
Cole, of Dimond High fame, also scored 20 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to just miss a triple-double.
She leads the NWAC with 3.2 blocked shots per game. She’s had four or more in 9 of 21 games and a total of 20 in just the last three games.
She succeeds due to terrific timing and awesome athleticism.
Cole is making a run at NWAC South Region MVP honors this season, ranking in the top 5 in four different categories:

4th Points 18.4
3rd Rebounds 9.8
