Ostrom drains four 3s, ranks second in Northwest Conference

February 8, 2015

Nani Ostrom basketballWhen it comes to making 3-pointers, few in the Northwest Conference are as good as Nani Ostrom of Juneau.

In fact, there’s only one better.

But Ostrom is closing in on the league leader after the Pacific University senior drained 4-of-7 3-pointers in a 76-53 win over Lewis & Clark during D3 women’s play in Oregon.

The 5-foot-7 guard leads her team and ranks second in the NWC with a .427 3-point shooting percentage [44-of-103].

Ostrom has attempted twice as many 3s as the conference percentage leader, demonstrating just how accurate this Alaska shooter has been this season.

It’s been a dream season for her.

She has scored 237 points in 20 games compared to 248 in her first 69 college games.

She has made 44 3s after coming in with a three-year total of 37.

The only bummer for Ostrom is that Pacific is out of the conference title hunt.
