Ward collects career-high 23 points, 7 rebounds in Ohio
The Ohio Dominican senior guard collected career highs with 23 points and 7 rebounds in a 73-63 loss in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
It was almost exactly one year ago to the day that Ward posted then career highs of 17 points and 6 rebounds against Findlay.
On this night he came off the bench to drain 9-of-13 field goals, including a career-best five 3-pointers. He also blocked a shot.
Ward, of North Pole High fame, was his team’s lone double-figure scorer.
The game was also special in the sense that he surpassed the 200-point plateau in his 59th career games. The reserve guard is averaging a career-best 5.1 points in 17 games this year.
