Ramon Harris BasketballA starter for most of the NBA D-League season, Ramon Harris of Anchorage was brought off the Fort Wayne bench to kickstart the shooter after a cold stretch.

The move worked perfectly.

Harris pumped in 4-of-6 3-pointers on his way to scoring 19 points in a 108-106 loss to Los Angeles. He had a +15 rating, by far the best among Mad Ants, and flirted with his season-high total of 22.

The 6-foot-7 forward entered the night having reached double figures in only three of his previous 11 games.

A different role led to a different Harris.

The former University of Kentucky starter made a bunch of 3s and sank a season high 7-of-7 free throws. He doesn’t get to the line a ton and is a 62 percent career foul shooter, so he was feeling it.

Harris, of West High fame, is averaging a career-best 9 points in 48 games this season, 37 of them starts. On this night he also became the first Alaskan to surpass the 900-point plateau in the D-League.
