Join us for the Tough Slusher Tomorrow!

Alaskans of all ages are welcome to come out for the Tough Slusher this Saturday at Service High School in Anchorage Alaska and help raise money for ASHOF’s Healthy Futures program!  Registration closes at midnight AK time Friday, April 10th. Register HERE!

HF tough slusher flyer 2015 V2lowres2The Tough Slusher is a non-competitive event for the whole family. The course is on single and double track trails with a 5K and 2K option. Runners, walkers, joggers welcome!  The event starts at 10am at the northeast field behind Service High School.  Bib/T-shirt pick up and late registration is 9am-9:45am  Dress for slush and mud!

Help support Healthy Futures:  Healthy Futures works to empower Alaska’s youth to build the habit of daily physical activity.  Over 20,000 children from over 200 schools across the state participate in Healthy Futures programs. Tough Slusher registration is free, but if you donate $20 or more you will receive a stylish Healthy Futures athletic T-Shirt! Donations are appreciated!  

Meet Sadie! Olympic skier Sadie Bjornsen  will be handing out medals to the finishers and visiting with the kids!

20140412_104526A Historical View for A Healthy Future: The Tough Slusher is an official event of the Anchorage Centennial. Participants will learn about Anchorage’s colorful recreational history along the course as they pass by spectacular period-piece banners.
