Brad Oleson BasketballNorth Pole’s Brad Oleson was his sensational self for Barcelona in an 85-80 win over Madrid in the Euroleague in a battle between Spanish powers.

The veteran playmaker knocked down 4-of-6 3-pointers and finished with 12 points and 3 assists as Barca pulled even with Madrid for first place at 10-3 in Top 16 Group E.

Oleson, of UAF fame, has always been a clutch player who seems to get bigger the bigger the moment.

Tonight was no different.

The 6-foot-3 guard drilled three 3s in the fourth quarter, including the dagger with 35 seconds left that pushed Barca’s lead to 85-78 and preserved the victory.

He is averaging 6.7 points in 16 Euroleague games with Barcelona.
