Anchorage’s Jeff Overbaugh of the San Diego State football team has been the country’s most accurate long snapper over the last three years.

He’s finally getting some national love.

The senior long snapper has been named a preseason All-American by Phil Steele’s College Football Magazine. He was named to the fourth team.

Overbaugh, of Service High fame, has started all 39 games of his college career and is perfect on every snap he’s taken.

The 6-foot-2, 235-pounder is 135-for-135 on PATs, 54-for-54 on field goals and 165-for-165 on punts.

Overbaugh is just one of three players from the Mountain West Conference recognized on the Phil Steele All-American list.

Off the field, he is a six-time SDSU scholar-athlete, a five-time Dean’s List recipient and a three-time MWC academic pick.
