Cavanaugh has busy week with Oregon State swim team

Anchorage’s Jesikah Cavanaugh participated in 10 races in a span of a week for the Oregon State University swim team.
The junior is a butterfly specialist and competed in 100- and 200-yard individual races as well as medley and freestyle relays.
Cavanaugh, of East High fame, earned a pair of fifth-place finishes in the 100 fly and 400 free relay in today’s meet against UCLA and UC-Santa Barbara in California.
She has lowered her time in the 200 fly in each of her last three races.
The Alaskan went 2:12.96 against San Diego and Vanderbilt; 2:12.59 vs. USC and 2:11.69 today.
