Bookert in exclusive company when it comes to shooting the 3

November 5, 2015

Devon Bookert BasketballDevon Bookert of Anchorage enters his final season at Florida State University as one of the greatest shooters in school history.

He is gunning to become the first FSU player to rank in the top five in career 3-point and free-throw shooting.

Bookert, of West High fame, is shooting for another honor: best college shooter from Alaska at the NCAA D1 level.

The senior guard has made .433 percent of his 3s, which is better than Trajan Langdon, Jason Erickson and Mario Chalmers.

That’s good company as Langdon [Duke], Erickson [Montana State] and Chalmers [Kansas] were all NCAA All-Americans.

Here is a closer look our greatest 3-point shooters in college at the D1 level:

.433 Devon Bookert Florida State 98 games 129-298
.427 Jason Erickson Montana State 112 games 154-361

.419 Mario Chalmers Kansas 110 games 180-430
