After a slow start to the college basketball season, Laci Effenberger of Ketchikan has come on in a hurry.

In Cal State East Bay’s recent two-game trip to Colorado, the senior guard set new career highs in points, rebounds, assists, steals and 3-pointers in back-to-back nights.

Against UC Colorado Springs, she pumped in a career-high 18 points on 6-of-11 3-point shooting. She also collected six rebounds and three steals, both career highs.

The next night against Metropolitan State University of Denver she dished off a career-high seven assists to go with 15 points.

In four games, the 5-foot-7 starter is averaging 11.8 points, 4.5 assists and 3.5 rebounds.
