Bookert finds 3-point shooting stroke for Florida State
Devon Bookert of Anchorage broke out of a month-long shooting slump with 11 points as Florida State beat Florida 73-71.
The 6-foot-3 senior guard made 4-of-8 field goals, including 3-of-7 3-pointers.
He made as many threes tonight as he had in five previous games in the month of December [3-for-22].
He’s too good of a shooter to fire blanks for much longer.
Bookert, of West High fame, is averaging 7.6 points in 12 games this year.
He is just nine points shy of reaching the 900-point plateau for his college career.
Florida State is 10-2 entering the Atlantic Coast Conference opener this weekend.
Bookert is one of only four Alaska men at the NCAA D1 level to shoot the 3 better than 40 percent for their career.
