No matter where he plays, Bell-Holter battles for boards
December 21, 2015
Just call Damen Bell-Holter chairman of the board.
The 6-foot-9 center from Hydaburg has made a living out of being a remarkable rebounder.
Some guys shoot, others defend. He rebounds.
During his college career at Oral Roberts University he finished his career with 878 rebounds – more than any Alaskan at the NCAA D1 level.
As a rookie in the NBA D-League with the Maine Red Claws his 232 season total is the most by an Alaskan.
And now in Finland he’s among the leaders in the premier league.
Bell-Holter is averaging 9.7 rebounds through the first 15 games, which leads his team Lapua and ranks second in the league.
He has reached double figures four times, highlighted by games with 20, 15 and 12 boards.
Bell-Holter is averaging 15.7 points on 49 percent shooting from inside the arc.
