Bookert finds rhythm, catching fire for Florida State
January 13, 2016
Anchorage’s Devon Bookert pumped in 18 points and continued his torrid shooting from 3-point range as Florida State picked up its first ACC win of the season.
The senior guard went 4-for-4 from downtown to reach double figures for the third time in the last five games as the Semifinals beat North Carolina State 85-78 on the road.
Bookert, of West High fame, has recently turned around a slow start.
In the last five games, he has drained 15-of-27 3s [.556] and averaged 12.8 points.
Compare that to the first 10 games when he made only 5-of-26 3s [.139] and averaged just 5.5 points.
Bookert has tallied 926 career points with the Seminoles as he looks to become the 10th Alaska man to score 1,000 points at the NCAA D1 level.
