January 27, 2016
Jack Hobbs of Anchorage came off the bench to make some big 3-pointers for the University of Hartford, especially in the second half.
He finished with 9 points in 10 minutes in tonight’s 105-100 OT loss to Maine in America East action.
Hobbs, of South High fame, finished 3-of-4 from 3-point land – the third time this season that the 6-foot-7 shooter has made that many 3s in a game.
With his team nursing a 52-49 lead early in the second half, the sophomore scored Hartford’s next six points.
He made a 3 to make it 55-49 and then canned another trey to make it 58-53. He also added a season-high two assists.
Hobbs is shooting 10-for-31 [.323] from beyond the arc in 22 games this season, although his overall field-goal percentage is .466.
He is averaging 3.3 points and 2.3 rebounds per game.
