Looney comes off bench to spark Hawaii Pacific’s win streak

Connor Looney BasketballThe remarkable rise of Connor Looney‘s basketball game continues to gain traction at Hawaii Pacific University.

The junior guard from Palmer reached double figures for the ninth consecutive game with a game-high 15-point effort in a 73-49 win over the Academy of Art in San Francisco, California.

Looney, of Palmer High fame, is averaging a career-best 12.7 points in 13 games with the NCAA D2 Sharks.

He has come off the bench to score a total of 165 points this season, compared to 138 his first two seasons with the team.

Looney has bagged season highs of 22 points, nine rebounds, seven assists and three steals.

Hawaii Pacific is 9-4 and winners of five straight.
