Mattson passes off season-best five dimes for Portland

Hannah Mattson of Fairbanks was one of the bright spots for the University of Portland women’s basketball in a 71-63 loss to Gonzaga.
The starting junior guard handed off a season-high five assists and matched her season-best with two steals.
She added seven points on 3-of-4 shooting.
Mattson, of West Valley High fame, is averaging a career-best 4.1 points in 16 games for the NCAA D1 Pilots.
She is shooting .444 from 3-point range [16-for-36].
