Hale drops 29 on Butler in Central Methodist University win

NeNe Hale of Anchorage continued her all-out scoring assault for Central Methodist University.

The 5-foot-8 guard scored 29 points to lead the 16th-ranked Eagles to a 68-63 road win over Baker in Kansas.

Hale, of Houston High fame, made 11-of-21 shots to increase her conference-leading scoring average to 19.1 per game.

She poured in seven points in the fourth quarter, including the go-ahead free throw with 35 seconds left.

The sophomore’s career high is 30, achieved twice this season.

She has 419 total points in 22 games.

Central Methodist, a NAIA school in Missouri, has a 21-2 overall record, including 16-1 in the Heart of America Conference.
