Ibesate’s walk-off single keeps Jamestown baseball undefeated
February 28, 2016
Juneau’s Lance Ibesate is the reason the Jamestown University baseball team is still undefeated.
The senior third baseman delivered a two-run single in the bottom of the seventh inning to allow Jamestown to walk off with a 2-1 win over Hastings.
He had struck out two of his three previous at-bats, so you know that felt good.
It was the first game of a doubleheader, with Jamestown carrying that momentum to a 3-0 win in Game 2.
The NAIA team from North Dakota is 12-0 on the season.
Ibesate is hitting .343 in 10 games with 12 runs and 8 RBIs.
