Iowa finally reaping rewards of Harris trade in D-League
Anchorage’s Ramon Harris is finally paying off for the Iowa Energy.
The NBA D-League traded for the 6-foot-7 guard last month yet his initial seven games with his new team resulted in only two victories.
But that’s not the case anymore.
In two games over the last three days, Harris has led Iowa to back-to-back wins while grabbing a career-high 14 rebounds in one game and then the next game scoring a season-high 17 points and matching his career high of four steals.
Harris, of West High fame, tonight sank 5-of-10 shots in a 110-100 win over the Raptors 905. His 17 points represented his third double-figure game with his new team and fifth time in 30 games this season.
On Sunday he had 14 rebounds before fouling out in an 84-80 win over the Westchester Knicks.
Harris is averaging 5.6 points and 3.4 rebounds overall.
