Laci Effenberger of Ketchikan was named to the all-tournament team at the California Collegiate Athletic Association as the Cal State East Bay women’s basketball team won the CCAA title for the first time in school history.

The senior guard bagged 13 points, six assists and five rebounds in a 68-53 win over Cal State Dominguez Hills in the championship game.

She racked up 14 total assists over the two games in Stockton this weekend.

Effenberger, of Ketchikan High fame, drilled a three 3-pointers to extend her streak to 46 straight games with a made triple.

She is averaging 11.6 points in 31 wins and extended her single-season school record 3-point mark to 94. The old record was 62.

It was the 14th straight win for the Pioneers, who improved their record to 27-4 and secured the program’s first berth in the NCAA D2 West Regionals.
