Klie named NCAA D2 Academic All-America First Team for UCSD

UC San Diego men’s basketball standout Adam Klie of Anchorage has earned Academic All-America First Team honors from the College Sports Information Directors of America.
The 6-foot-4 guard carries a 4.0 GPA as a bioengineering major.
The Alaskan is the only player rocking a 4.0 among the 15 total Academic All-Americans.
Klie, of Service High fame, is averaging 12.8 points and a team-high 5.9 rebounds per game for 23rd-ranked UCSD [21-6].
The junior starter also leads the Tritons with 91 assists and 23 steals in 27 games. He is shooting 50 percent from the floor and collected a total of four double-doubles this season.
Klie is a two-time Academic All-District 8 First Team and CCAA All-Academic selection.
