Anchorage’s Whitney Williams won her 40th career tennis match with Abilene Christian University in Texas.

The sophomore picked up three wins in one day – two against Temple, one against McMurry – during NCAA D1 action over the weekend.

She has won 40 of 65 career singles and doubles matches.

Williams, of South High fame, is 19-12 in singles and 21-13 in doubles for Abilene Christian.

She is playing No. 1 doubles with teammate Erin Walker. The duo is 5-2 over their last seven matches.

In singles, Williams is playing mostly at No. 5. But she picked up her first career win at No. 2 earlier this year against Indiana and played No. 1 against Marquette.
