This was the first time that two Alaskans went yard in the same NCAA D1 softball game.

Tufi, of West High fame, launched a two-run shot in the first inning on the seventh pitch of the at-bat.

It was her sixth home run of the season and the 22nd in three years at Louisiana Tech.

The home run pushed Tufi over the 100 career RBI mark, giving her 101 in 124 games.

She broke school records in each of the last two seasons – one for freshman RBIs [34] and another for single-season saves [6].

Tufi is batting .356 and ranks second on the team with 22 RBIs in 22 games this year.
