After a couple of uncharacteristically average starts, Edmonds Community College pitcher Brian Way of Sitka returned to his superhuman form.

The 6-foot-7 sophomore needed only 83 pitches to complete a 9-inning shutout in a 2-0 win over Shoreline during NWAC play in Washington.

Way allowed six hits and no walks while striking out a pair.

He faced only 32 batters, just five over the minimum.

Way was coming off his first loss of the season and only third over his college and summer league seasons.

He bounced back exactly the way you’d expect from the ace of the Edmonds staff.

Way improved to 4-1 on the season and lowered his ERA to 2.13.

Using pinpoint control, the big right-hander has issued just one walk in 33.2 innings.
