Anchorage’s Jeff Overbaugh officially joined the 90-man roster for the Los Angeles Rams, meaning his quest to play in the NFL is on the right track.

The undrafted rookie long snapper out of San Diego State signed with the team to fill a vacated roster spot.

Overbaugh, of Service High fame, had been attending offseason workouts on a tryout basis.

Now he’s on the team – at least for now. He will participate in next week’s three-day minicamp in California.

At San Diego State, he was perfect on all 510 career snaps on field goals, punts and extra points.

Overbaugh has to beat out a veteran long snapper to make the team’s final 53-man roster and collect his rookie salary.
