Now at Colorado Mesa, Houston earns first college shutout
September 15, 2016
Colorado Mesa University junior goalkeeper Katelyn Houston of Anchorage anchored a defensive unit that held Humboldt State scoreless in a 2-0 win in NCAA D2 women’s soccer action.
It was the first college shutout for Houston in just her second game at Colorado Mesa.
Houston, of Grace Christian High fame, spent her previous three seasons at the NCAA D1 University of South Carolina. She gained a ton of knowledge but did not play.
She is 1-1 in two career starts and boasts a 1.00 goals against average.
