The junior starting quarterback tossed a 27-yard scoring pass in the first quarter, his seventh of the season. He also surpassed the 1,000-yard mark.
The converted tight end moved under center last season and combined for 15 touchdowns – eight through the air, four on the ground.
The 6-foot-3, 225-pounder caught a pair of scoring passes as a freshman.
