McLaren shines in first start for Montana State-Northern
The junior quarterback provided an offensive spark for Montana State University-Northern in a 52-31 loss to No. 16 Eastern Oregon during NAIA football action in Havre, Montana.
Making his first start, McLaren accounted for 176 of total offense against one of the toughest defenses in the country.
He threw for 118 yards on 11-of-16 completions and orchestrated three scoring drives in the second half.
McLaren, of Delta High fame, transferred from the University of Minnesota Morris, where he broke a 40-year school record with a 95-yard touchdown pass play.
