Anchorage’s Jordan Smelker assisted on the would-be winning goal in the second period as the Boston Pride beat the New York Riveters 6-3 in NWHL play in Buffalo, New York.
The 5-foot-8 forward set up Brianna Decker’s second goal to give Boston a 4-1 lead.
It was Smelker’s 20th career point with the Pride.
Smelker, of Service High fame, has posted 9-11-20 totals in 19 career games.
Fellow Anchorage skater Zoe Hickel also earned an assist in the win for her first point of the season.

Both Alaskans were part of last season’s Isobel Cup championship for Boston in the inaugural season of the NWHL.
