Theisen finished second, helps Black Hills State win ‘Jacks Open

Jonah Theisen of Kenai was the top runner for the top team at the Yellowjacket Open in Billings, Montana.

The sophomore clocked a 4-mile time of 19 minutes, 44 seconds in the men’s race to place second out of 59 finishers. He was 14 seconds off the winning clip.

Theisen, of Kenai High fame, led No. 14 Black Hills State to the team win with 30 points – nearly half of runner-up University of Mary [59].

Six of his 11 career starts in college have ended with a top-10 finish.
