Tar Heels coach Roy Williams has to be loving what he’s seeing out of UNC commit Brandon Huffman of Anchorage.

The 6-foot-9, 230-pound high school All-American now playing for Word of God Christian Academy in Raleigh, North Carolina, showcased his awesome ability against defending national champion Oak Hill over the weekend.

Huffman, of West High fame, recorded a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds in a 74-63 loss at the Phenom Hoops National Showcase in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Video clips from the game showed the Alaskan showing out in a big way – cleaning the glass, dominating the paint and finishing around the basket with his trademark two-handed monster jam.

In September, Huffman picked the Tar Heels over offers from Clemson, UConn, Georgia Tech, Indiana, NC State, Pittsburgh, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia Tech.

His final high school game in Alaska came in the 2015 Class 4A state championship game when Huffman helped West beat East 77-73 in overtime after he and teammates Da’zhon Wyche and Devontae Doutrive combined to score 52 of West’s final 58 points.
