The basketball hoop must look the size of a hula hoop to Anchorage’s Colter Lasher these days.

The Houston Baptist University senior is shooting a staggering field-goal percentage [.634, 33-for-52] over his last four games.

The 6-foot-7 forward made 7-of-11 shots and finished with a game-high 22 points as the Huskies beat Sam Houston State 79-65 in the Southland Conference opener in Huntsville, Texas.

Lasher, of Dimond High fame, sank 4-of-6 3-pointers, all four free throws and added three rebounds and two blocks.

Lasher leads Houston Baptist and ranks ninth in the conference with a 15.7 scoring average in 11 games. He is shooting .485 on the season, coming off 47 percent last year.
