The Notre Dame de Namur men’s basketball team pushed the leaders of the Pac West Conference to the brink, thanks to Tre’shawn King-Dunbar of Anchorage.

The senior guard delivered team-high totals of 22 points, four assists and three steals in a 77-72 loss to Dixie State in Belmont, California.

King-Dunbar, of Bartlett High fame, pumped in 15 points in the first half as Notre Dame de Namur carried a 39-32 lead into halftime.

The 6-foot-1 starter sank 6-of-11 field goals and 6-of-7 free throws.

He sank a pair of foul shots to give the Argonauts a 69-67 lead with 3:14 left.

King-Dunbar is averaging 15.8 points in eight games for the NCAA D2 school.
