After going scoreless in her first 15 games of the season, Melanie Bartenstein of Anchorage has caught fire.

The Hamline University junior forward netted her second goal in the last week, this time scoring a first-period goal in a 4-1 victory over Bethel in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Bartenstein, of South High fame, also scored a week ago in a 7-5 win over St. Mary’s.

Hamline, a NCAA D3 team, plays in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

Bartenstein last year collected a goal and two assists in 22 games.
