Hebard drops career-high 29 on No. 13 UCLA, lifts FG% to .702
Ruthy Hebard of Fairbanks single-handedly kept the Oregon Ducks in the game against No. 13 UCLA.
The Pac-12 freshman-of-the-year candidate produced nearly half of her team’s offense with a career-high 29-point performance in a 79-63 loss to No. 13 UCLA in Los Angeles, California.
The 6-foot-4 forward connected on 11-of-15 shots from the floor to raise her field-goal percentage to .702, lifting her into a virtual tie for the NCAA lead with West Valley’s Lanay Montgomery [.704].
Hebard, of West Valley High fame, bested her previous career high of 28 points and has now hit the 20-point mark five times in 18 games.
She grabbed nine rebounds to just miss a double-double.
Hebard leads the Ducks with 14.7 points and 8.1 rebounds per game averages.
Her fabulous field-goal percentage is nearly better than her .732 free-throw percentage.
