Johnson has triple-double for South Mountain CC in Arizona

Anchorage’s Desmond Johnson did it all for South Mountain Community College.

The 5-foot-10 sophomore guard scored 11 points to go with a season-high 10 rebounds and 12 assists in a 96-82 loss to Phoenix College in Arizona.

Johnson, of East High fame, has triple-double game every time he takes the basketball court and last year bagged a rare quadruple-double in points, rebounds, assists and steals.

He is averaging 16.4 points, 5.6 rebounds and 7.3 assists in 10 games.

Twice he has reached the 20-point plateau, highlighted by a 25-point game.

This season Johnson is playing at South Mountain Community College with his older brother Xavier, who together helped East win the 2013 Class 4A state championship.
