Jamestown University wrestler Dajan Treder of Anchorage made it to the championship match of the 123-pound weight class at the Bearcat Open in Lebanon, Illinois.

The NAIA All-American senior dropped a hard-fought 4-3 loss in the finals of the meet, the final tune-up before next month’s WCWA college nationals.

Treder, of West High fame, won three of four matches in the tournament.

She pinned Menlo’s Bianca Arizpe in her opening match and then won a 10-0 technical fall over Lindsey Spjut. In the semifinals, she was victorious by 14-1 technical fall against Tam Tillman of Missouri Baptist.

A month ago, Treder recorded a runner-up finish in the 116-pound division at the United States Senior Nationals in Las Vegas to earn a berth to the World Team Trials in April.
